That bit of Mire, now that's intriguing. There's only one explanation he can think of, and a human wouldn't have been able to get hold of it by herself, not in a time like this. So she's time traveled somehow. Which means she might be one of the Doctor's little human pets.

"Oh, those particular clients have ... a condition, I guess you'd say. And they pay me a reasonable sum to make sure they still have a safe place to enjoy themselves when it flares up."

If she runs and tells him, he'll want to investigate, which would be a lovely little trap to spring. The gears in his head are already turning.
